You and I were created for a specific plan and purpose. There’s something special and unique that God wants to accomplish through you. Your natural gifts, skills, and talents that you developed through education supported you in realizing your purpose.

Not only are your gifts and talents essential, but your God-given personality was designed to assist you in fulfilling your purpose or call. You enjoy what you do, and it comes naturally to you.

In my case, God used the brick-and-mortar state universities of higher education for my training in the field of music. But He took a different route for my training as a singles relationship strategist.

The tailor-made circumstances of life, which God orchestrated, was the journey that I traveled for singles ministry preparation.

My Progressive Call to the Ministry

As I look back over my life, I can trace back my progressive call to around the age of 16. My mother was a beautician and I remember discussing my boyfriends and our relationships with her customers. Sharing the juicy events of my love life was the highlight of our conversations and I hung on their words of wisdom.

My mother constantly rehearsed in my ears how she prayed and asked God to bless her with a husband. Then one day it happened. My father, who moved to this area from the south, just happened to see my mother on his first day here.

And as he described it, he heard an audible voice that said, “There goes your wife”! He turned around to see who was speaking to him because the voice sounded so loud and clear, but no one was there. Later, he realized the voice was his innermost being receiving a message from the Lord.

My father aggressively pursued my mother and on their first date, they went to the movie theater to see ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’! How befitting, for the earth truly stood still for my parents from that day forth and ever since.

My parents shared 64 years of blissful marriage through sickness and in health until my mother went home to be with the Lord.

Nothing Just Happens

I believe nothing just happens. My parent’s matchmaking experience has been a constant reminder of how God will bring a man and woman together whom He has ordained to be husband and wife.

My parent’s example inspired me to start reading and establishing a vast library of books on love, dating, courtship, and marriage. It is my most popular subject of discussion.

As I began to read, faith and the desire to ask God to bless me with a husband grew within. I searched the bible and found the scriptures about finding a spouse and set aside a day and time that I prayed the prayer of faith, asking God to bless me with a husband.

I prayed that I would distinguish God’s voice from my voice and recognize this chosen man of God when he approached me.

Confirmations

In the meantime, during my season of wait, I noticed something special beginning to happen. My peers began to solicit my counsel about their romantic relationships. As I grew older and more mature on the subject matter, co-workers desired (and still do) my input into their private lives of romance.

I was instrumental in establishing singles ministries at two different churches and traveled cross country attending other single ministries and conferences. I’ve also facilitated singles workshops and events.

The progressive call of God began to gradually unfold until finally, it dawned on me that ministering to single Christian women is what God called me to do.

But the most significant confirmation came through several prophecies that I received through anointed men and women of God, one which I will share.

One day, as I watched TV, I began to flip through the channels with my remote control to find something interesting to watch. I turned to my favorite Christian station, Channel 38, which was airing a telethon.

Oh no! I do not watch telethons. They are boring and I have no interest in them.

So, click, click, click. I began searching for something to watch. But for some reason, I couldn’t get this telethon out of my mind.

So, I clicked back to Channel 38 and began watching the telethon. As I watched, I was inspired to call in and make a donation. After I gave the telethon operator, whose name was Bob, my pertinent information, the call should have ended, but Bob asked me to pray.

After I prayed, out of the clear blue, Bob told me to get a pencil and paper because he wanted me to write down the message that God has for me. I was in a state of shock!  Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. But I was obedient.

As Bob began to speak, I wrote down the message that he interpreted from the Lord:

“My daughter, a new door shall I open in thy life for thou hast found favor in My sight. I would use you in a new way, in a richer way, a fuller way  Yea, keep looking unto Me. I shall give you a new ministry. One that you have not expected; one that you hadn’t planned. Yea, I have special things for you. You shall do unique things for Me. Keep looking up unto me, and I will show you that which you will do for me.”

WOW! My Sista’s, these are not the kinds of things that happen every day, so of course I paid extra special attention to this message. And, in the years since, God has used several anointed men and women to relay confirming messages to me.

What was my response? I mixed my faith with this message and made the quality decision to respond positively to God’s call upon my life and follow in the steps of His leading.

Like the unfolding of the layers of an onion, I believe that ‘God is Your Matchmaker’ is the fulfillment of this prophecy.

God’s leading has led me on a journey full of the romantic thrills of victory and the agonies of defeat. But through it all, God has meant it for my good. I’ve learned to trust Him and developed the character, patience, and skills necessary to start and maintain the call on my life and prepare me for my ordained marriage partner.

Season(s) of Wait

Presently, I’m in a ‘season of wait’, and I’ve made the quality decision to maximize this season.

I furthered my education by attending the Relationship Coach Institute (RCI), where I completed my relationship training for singles and couples. As a Faith-based Relationship Strategist, I created ‘God is Your Matchmaker’, which includes this podcast and my website www.godisyourmatchmaker.com

Ministry before Manifestation

I’m passionate about sharing my wisdom and experience with those who desire God to bless them with a marriage partner even before my dreams and promises are fulfilled. I call this ‘Ministry before Manifestation’ because our gifts are meant to be shared.

I desire and am willing to share valuable jewels and treasuries of wealth to those single Christian women who want God’s best in the area of love, dating, courtship and marriage.

Warning my Sista’s, if you want to use your lips and your hips to snag a man, then this podcast is not for you. But if you want to factor God into the equation, you’re in the right place at the right time.

For that’s where I come in.

I can help you restore your heart and get free from those debilitating issues that are holding you back from experiencing the pure love relationship that God has in store for you.

Through this blog, my Sista’s in Christ, I’m offering you an invitation to travel with me on a journey to the land of provision.

This land of provision is the place where matchmaker God will present you to the love of your life.

And when the transaction is complete, God will send you a heavenly email confirmation stamped with his approval.
